Blueberry Paper the move...

Its been at the back of mind for a while now that the name Lino Creative no longer represents everything that I want to do.
Ive been a bit quiet lately, busily preparing my new shop and exciting new products. As part of this transition phase, I am moving this blog over to Blueberry Paper.
I'll still be designing and making all the usual goodies, with lots more to come!
I am gradually transitioning to the name Blueberry Paper, to me its more colourful and fun and says more about the direction Im heading.
In the meantime (until the end of this year at least) you can catch me at the markets as Lino Creative and online at www.blueberrypaper.com.au :)
I hope you'll join me in this exciting new adventure!

Pardon my absence! I've been busy working on a new project, it's called Blueberry Paper, and we've just opened for business!

For the moment it's stocked with gift cards, but soon Christmas greeting cards will be available, and there are plans for much more stationery goodness.

Ive been admiring Tascha's artwork for a while and today I finally went ahead and bought a print of hers. Not only do I love the style and unashamed innocence of it but it also makes me think of my Latvian mum and grandma making pierogi (or perogi, perogy, pirohi, piroghi, pirogi, pirogen, pierogy, pirohy, pyrohy depending what country you are from :). Lovely :)

So Ive been away for a while, holidaying and all the rest but also working on a new and very exciting project that Ive been chewing on for a while now. Very SOON www.linocreative.com.au will look very different! it will now incorporate an online shop so folks can order prints of my work directly from me. As well as the lovely and amazing handmade creations of some very talented people! All with a focus on stuff for kids. Its something Ive wanted to do for a long time and to see it happening is really a dream come true for me! I hope you will stop by sometime in the near future and take a look around and let me know what you think. New creations will be added over the next weeks and months so check back often to see it evolving. I know I'm looking forward to it!

Im putting up some new prints on etsy today. I made the originals (acrylic on canvas) for the upcoming children's markets on Sunday. A bit different from my usual style as they are not linocuts but Im enjoying experimenting more with paint.

A book I recently designed and illustrated the cover for has just hit the shops. Its Australian Comedian Tom Gleeson's book 'Playing Poker with the S.A.S'. I'm really happy with how it turned out and it caught me by surprise while browsing in the bookstore the other day. There's a moment of "Hey that looks familiar......oh!" I love it when that happens :)
